Drova - Forsaken Kin

Excellent! room for minor improvements

All in all this is an excellent and engaging RPG. I played in explorer mode, because I wasn't interested in long drawn out fights. I was still challenged and could not just wander the map from the start. It seemed to ramp up well as I found new areas and improved my character. I loved the populace. They seemed to have personality, and even though there was no voice acting, they had little quirks (spitting, laughing, sighing) that really made them come to life. The event scripting for more complex quests was very well done. They had that nailed down perfectly. Some quests remind me of old RPGs that tried to do similar things but did not carry it off nearly as well as these guys did. The map was amazing to explore, although it did suffer from a lot of multi-level maze type where you had to find the one way to get to somewhere, which could be frustrating at times. Overall it was still very satisfying to wander and discover new landmarks. The map wasn't too big to traverse regularly (which you end up doing alot) I wish the map let you make notes on it instead of just adding stamps. Sound and music were great. I really would love to see a sequel. The world was charming and I long for more. Well done!
