My primary gripe with the Witcher is with the engine it utilized. Bioware's Aurora engine is old, and this game shows its age. The story is decent, but only gets good halfway through the second act. That type of delay may put off most gamers. Luckily, you need to have no experience with this game to experience the vastly improved sequel. Save your money, and put it towards one of my contenders for game of the year.
