Mable & The Wood

Ruined for me by bugs and crashing.

The game seems fun, but I couldn't play for more than 30 minutes without it having a graphical freakout I had to force-quit out of. The controls also seemed buggy and "sticky" with buttons sometimes not responding or temporarily freezing the screen when pressed. In the end the issues were too frustrating for me to enjoy the game.

Trine 2: Complete Story

Great game, but....

The game looks great, plays great, and I had a great time. I also enjoyed replaying the levels and trying to 100% or find different solutions. One thing I wish I'd known was that achievements are broken (do not unlock at all) in the GOG version, and evidently there are no plans to update the build to fix this.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition

Meant to be played on a console.

Much as I want to enjoy this game, the optimization is clunky and the interface is awful. Clearly not designed to be played with a mouse and keyboard. Witcher 1 felt like a PC game; this feels like a pretty lazy port. The game menu offers a "gamepad" option which would probably help, but it would not work for me, and the official word from GOG support was that game controllers are not supported. If you have a Windows machine that natively supports an XBox controller you might have better luck. Otherwise, can't recommend it on this platform.
