Frostpunk is far too buggy for a game that's been out for several months. There are visual bugs, game save bugs, and a seeming inability to restart a chapter unless you manually created a save at the beginning. (The CHAPTERSAVE save is not at week 1 for me). Bought it on sale and regret spending even that much on it.
As a huge tabletop fan of Mordheim, I bought this game years ago on Steam. It's not good. The controls are super janky and it's hard to see where you need to go or what you need to collect. It doesn't capture the feel of the tabletop game at all. And as a turn based game, it's not nearly as good as the grid based games like X-Com. Turns consist of trial and error trying to figure where you can move, and where you can't. Back up, move forward, back up, move forward. And trying to find wyrdstone is an exercise in frustration as well.
This is a fun resource management game that really nails the Old Kingdom setting in Egypt. Games are fairly quick (a few hours), and pretty addictive. The three Gods play differently, and the free DLC allows a lot of replayability. Only downside is that some events aren't explained too well in advance, so you have to play the game a few times until you have an idea of what's coming.
