Psychonauts

Best 3rd-person platformer ever made.

It's charming, intelligent and innovative. And if you have CECBE (Collect-Everything-Compulsory Behaviour Disorder) like me then you'll love it even more. It really set the standard for how 3D platformers should be made. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. Made by Tim Schafer's Double Fine, and while that might not be a garanteed seal of perfection THIS GAME has that seal. Favourite level: The Milkman Conspiracy.

Super 3-D Noah's Ark

It's not DOOM, it's Wolfenstein

To the guy who thinks "They took DOOM and made a bible game out of it". No, thats not what they did. They took Wolfenstein 3D and made a bible game out of it. How you can mistake the engine being the engine for DOOM is just totally beyond me and frankly an insult to DOOM. Smarten up, man!

DOOM + DOOM II

It's DOOMI and II. And then some.

If you're looking for the classic experience and don't want to toil around with ZDOOM or GZDOOM and just want a version that has both games and a bunch of awesome addons like the unoffcial final chapters of DOOM called Sigil I and II by George Romero himself, then this version is for you! Included pre-installed are also Final Doom and Ultimate Doom maps. It's simple and unlike GZDOOM there aren't a ton settings you have to go through to tailor the experience. It's already optimal so it's just basically get into the action as quick as possible. There's support for widescreen and you can set field of view etc and you can also choose between the original midi soundtrack or THE ABSOLUTELY KICK@SS REMIX by Andrew Hulshult. I thought I would hate the remix since I'm a huge fan of the adlib/soundblaster midi sounds but holy sh*t... I even listen to it while at work or at home doing chores. It's on all big music streaming platforms. I love this version. And if you're a fan of DOOM I know you will love it too.

DOOM + DOOM II

It's the only DOOM collection I need.

What can I say? If you're not adept with using GZDoom or ZDOOM etc and just want the old school experience compatible with a new system then this is for you. You get loads of extras incl Final Doom and the two unofficial last episodes of DOOM, Sigil I and II by George Romero. It's easy to set up without loads of options and just works. The classic midi music is there as well as the AWESOME remix by Andrew Hulshult. He takes inspiration from Mick Gordon but does his own thing with the original soundtrack. I thought I would hate it but now I even listen to it when I'm at work and at home on the HIFI system. It's probably how they would've done the music back then if they could record a real band on a game disc. Seriously, this is an awesome collection and to be honest THE ONLY collection you'll ever need if you're just out to get the classic experience plus some very fun extras on a modern system. I'm loving it and I know you will too.

King's Quest 4+5+6

Unfair and cringe

I played them as a kid. I hated them. My friends said they were awesome. They were wrong. These "friends" also said the first three Space Quest games were awesome. They were wrong. These games are why I hate Sierra Games. If you love Lucasarts games who are known for their intelligent humour and fun characters and think these will be like SoMI or DOTT then you are wrong. Please take my word for it and do something better with your time. Replay LeChuck's Revenge or something instead of these trainwrecks.

Elroy and the Aliens

Made me feel like a kid again.

This game is so wholesome. Made me feel like when I played Day of the Tentacle as a kid for the first time. It's colourful and beautifully hand drawn. The characters are fun and quirky and the dialogue and voice acting is great. I really can't find anything bad to say about it. It's family friendly game and the devs stuck to jokes that everyone can understand, which at sometimes can seem a bit... tame but that's not necessarily a bad thing considering the demography in mind: Everyone. It's filled with pop culture easter eggs that were fun to discover. My recommendation is that you go to all the floors in Vanderbrust tower. If you've played some of the old Lucasarts classic games then you'll find plenty of them around as well as other pop culture references. Not gonna spoil any. Find out for yourself. The puzzles are fun and start off easy but gradually get harder as the story progresses. Just like a point and click adventure game should be and with no moon logic. Give it a shot and have an open mind. Enjoy.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered

My favourite childhood classic

I don't have a lot to say about this game except that it changed my life and was a companion during a very difficult time in my youth. It's funny, the characters are great and the story is fantastic. I promise you that it will bring a lot of joy into your life no matter your age. The game still holds up today because the jokes are timeless. Which is appropritate since the characters travel through time. Enjoy. Peace be with you.

Escape from Monkey Island™

No remake.

And there's a reason there's no remake and never will be. Because the game just isn't good. The puzzles are tedious and boring and... ugh... monkey combat... THE worst segment in any adventure game EVER. I don't need to go on so I won't. It's just not a good game even though the voice talents from Curse of Monkey Island make an appearance here. It falls short in so many ways.

Return to Monkey Island

A fantastic story with fun puzzles

Isn't that what a PnC game is supposed to be? I own this game on another platform and I just feel the need to defend it here because of all the review bombing by cry babies who don't like the art style. Imagine being so petty that just because the visuals doesn't fit perfectly with your preference you go on every platform you can find give the game a bad review. Look up the word "petty" in the dictionary and you'll find the millions of faces of the review bombers of this game. Return to Monkey Island is the continuation of the adventures of Guybrush Threepwood visiting fictional Carribbean islands and meeting new and familiar faces and solving puzzles. The puzzles go from easy to hard in a very natural way compared to many other PnC games who are just ridiculously hard even from the beginning. The voice acting is great and we hear a lot of old voice talents making their return to their characters. I love the story. It's wholesome and humorous and will make you smile like a kid playing LeChuck's Revenge for the first time. I highly recommend this game. Don't be a petty review bomber. Try the game before giving it a review.

Blood 2: The Blood Group

Worst and last.

It's a shame that this game killed the series... It really did. The first game was fantastic. The second was just a glitchfest of band animation and 3D model design. If you haven't played the Blood-games then skip this one and just play the prequel, One Unit Whole Blood. You won't be disappointed with that one.
