I purchased an original PS1 copy of RE2 earlier this year, but Claire's disc was corrupted so I was unable to continue my playthrough (Leon A/Claire B). This plays as well, looks the same, and therefore is an all around excellent game that I highly recommend. At time of writing, I just finished my Leon B run.
The story is incredible, and honestly is the only reason I could finish the game. It approaches Dragon Age 2 levels of asset reuse, the voice acting is mediocre, there are tons of bugs (never had a game crash this often without it being my fault for the tons of mods I was running), and the combat isn't fun at all. I have to say, this is one very over-hyped game.
