I would definately recommend this game. Good writing, excellent graphics, changes to the leveling system are really great. It was a little buggy on first release, but has been optimized great.
The music is atmospheric, and they knew how to really show of the beauty of the desert. By setting itself on a desert planet it fixes some of the issues I have had with previous entries, where positioning was less important than unit composition. My main complaint was that the game was a bit short, and took me about 7.5 hours to beat. Would definitely recommend if you see it on sale.
