Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption

A classic RPG.

Clearly this game is one of the few games to stand the test of time. While the graphics are dated, the powerful story line appeals to those who want more than a hack and slash, with a tired story line. This game will stay on your hard drive for decades to come. Pros: Engaging storyline - this game pulls you in, if you like RPGs, and will have to wanting to see what happens next. Though not quite a "just one more turn" entrapment, it will still consume much of your time. Excellent voice acting - Where this game gets it is in the two main characters, and may of hte supporting actors. It is on par with Mass Effect or Dragon Age. Cons Linear story - this game came out when there were very few open world games (like GTA Vice City), though it could have been a bit more varied in its outcome. There are three paths, and each path is generally laid out for you. Be crazy and kill everything or work to understand the vampire lore and keep the Masqerade. Lack of control - perhaps the worst part is the excessive use of the mouse to control all the actions. It would have been nice to use the standard Quake control layout but..... at the time, there wasn't a true standard for game layouts on PC.
