So whilst playing this game a single thought comes in mind, this is fun but needs to be touched up by a studio like Nightdive. The bones of the game are solid, the enemy sprites and art style ooze sword and sorcery, which of course make sense since Ken Kelly's art is on full display for the cover, and it is most definitely fun. So what's the catch? Animations are weird and inconsistent and there are portions of the game which are glitched so you either have to use a spell or cheat codes for said spell to continue onwards. With some love this game could be a great addition to the "boomer shooter" lineup that has been getting remastered recently, but right now is just a fun relic of an age (not) so long ago.
