Trinity Fusion

Give it 6 hours, then it's great

- The repetitivness is tremendous. - Controls are confusing - Setting up a controller is a mess, I've given up and using the keyboard. - Overcomplicated menu, which can be done in a much more simplier way. - Items can spawn in a places like lava basin and thus cannot be reached. - Game sometimes crash on loading a save, some Unity error msg. Sometimes crash on quiting. It's very repetitive and random (not so much for the environment). After every death you start at the same place equipted with some random weapons. Trying to get as far as possible before you die, then you start at the same place again, and again, again. After several runs you will start slowly unlocking some special upgrades which can be purchases with two types of in-game currances, as well as the slots for those upgrades. You will also encounter locked arenas filled with groups of enemies which vary greatly in difficlulty and some big bosses too. - Confusing, chaotic progress. Guessing by the percentage of achievements most players gave up before the game even really starts. The devs decision to make the repetitive beginning last few hours must put many off. It gets better once you defeat the first boss which is... acually pretty weak. Only 15% of players on gog defeated the first boss. It would be only 3 stars if I had not survived the first three hours of grinding the base level.

CAYNE

Okay

It's short, but it's okay. Bit less of reading than in Stasis. Puzzles here are easy to medium, some of them would appreciate more logic. A few puzzles and hints hiding areas are so ridiculous that without them I would give it 5 but I must give only 3 stars. I played Stasis, Cayne and Bone Totem now, as I see it, the last is the best, the first is the worst.

STASIS

Puzzles, reading, reading, reading.

Atmospheric with good graphics and sound. Lots and lots of reading. First half of the game is good, second third is full of terribly unintuitive or not logical puzzles. The last third is the weakest. In other words If I did not play Bone Totem before I would never buy Bone Totem after playing Stasis. Now I am going to play Cayne :)

STASIS: BONE TOTEM

Very good

Very very atmospheric game with easy to medium puzzle difficulty. A cool story telling so far. I have not finished the game yet, but I have been 'glued' to the screen for several hours now, the game's atmosphere really caught me off guard. Some puzzles are softlocked, you try it does not work and later you do not try because you know it did not work before, you do not expect it would work now.

Legend of Grimrock

Absolutely loved it

Such a cool atmosphere. Slow paced. I am amazed by this game and happy I bought it. Go on your own pace, look for treasures, fight your way through dark dungeons, sort puzzles. I'm having lots of fun with this game.

GRIME

Charismatic but

Beautiful with unique art style. Slow paced. Difficult to find a way forward.

Band of Crusaders Demo

A nice surprise

It's a rough demo but it may become a good game one day. Try it, the demo is already interesting, but don't expect miracles, it will take several more years to get this horse galloping. The issue for me here is that you cannot pause the game during combat, only slow it down, which does but a little time to think about any tactics, which was somewhat fine during Prologue, but once you leave Prologue, the game increases diffculty and the only option is to let melee run around a tree hoping your archers will do all the damage and it is not the best tactics. Your honoruably knihgts have some skills but I know the game is far from being finished. Also no sight of formations, you must guild your crusaders one by one so they do not step on a bear trap which there is plenty. But after all it it's just an early demo and for it it's exellent and very much playable. I will try again and this time I will stay in Prologue for much longer a year or two probably :) waiting for Early Access. I like the graphics and art style in the game, it looks unique, it's good. Music is awesome as well. The demo already maintains a good atmosphere. I can't even remember whether I ever had such a good time whilst playing an early demo of any game.
