This is the BEST AVN game that I have ever played! The lead character is a likable fellow who strives to help others. The many female characters are interesting and sexy in their own unique ways and the story is exceptional! I have laughed and, nearly, cried more than I have in many years! I hope that D has other games, and I will purchase them ASAP! I can recommend GOG as a reliable and safe vender of games! Purchase and play safely!
I nearly gave Field of Glory 4 stars, so call it 4 1/2. I am an historian and love playing turn based hex style war and strategy games on the computer. As a child all I had were Avalon Hill style board games to fill this need, and not enough friends who shared that hobby. GOG has reconnected me with many of my favorite computer games from years past. Field of Glory II is new to me. I was put off by the price, especially of the several DLC's. When I was notified from my wish list that it was on sale, I jumped. And am very glad that I did. The game plays well, without any problems on my up to date laptop computer. The AI is aggressive and makes the battles interesting and a challenge at the higher difficulties. The graphics are nothing fancy, but the scale of detail for the unit types, covering many cultures and time periods, is outstanding. I do wish there were more campaigns with the basic game and would like to see some type of reward system or unit upgrade as the unit continues thru each stage of a campaign. Sort of like Panzer Corps. Today I ordered two of the DLC's to continue my enjoyment. I look forward to playing as the Seleucid's! Where else could I say that?
Panzer General was one of my first and favorite computer games. Panzer Corps is VERY similar to my old friend. Except for a few breaks I spent the entire weekend playing two campaigns and several stand alone battles. The game NEVER crashed or suffered problems. I had a great time, so much so that I went ahead and ordered 3 of the DLC's today. They were on sale this weekend and had been on my wish list for awhile. I have many hundreds of hours of gaming to explore, but so far I LOVE Panzer Corps! If your a fan of PG, then you probably will too!
