This is a really good game all things considered. I had originally played the expansion pack Dungeon Seige Legends of Arana back when I had a laptop with XP installed. Honestly, I am happy I was able to finally purchase this game and make it work. It is phenomenally addictive, almost like Torchlight but with jankier graphics. So happy GOG restored it for modern systems, for what it is worth.
If you get this for a bargain price, you must play it. As well as the sequel stronghold crusader. But this is appreciated more. This game is way harder than Stronghold Crusader, even on free build mode. I can see why people would prefer Stronghold Crusader over this. I recommend it simply because it is honestly, one of the best versions of the game I have come across to date. Certainly an improvement in terms of real-time strategy free build variants. I love it. Can't help but feel so happy knowing we have this masterpiece.
I bought this game because it was available for a discount. When I finished downloading, and clicked the play button, it crashed. I changed all the settings and ran it again, still crashed. non-full screen optimization, closed all background programs to ensure there was nothing except this game. Nope, doesn't work. I would ask for a refund, but I don't think it will be possible to get one. So I am writing my review here.
