Just an amazing experience. I felt like I was reliving my childhood NES days in an alternate reality where the NES was way more powerful. If possible, don't do what I did and consult FAQs for hints when trying to get all 64 cubes. Every time I did, all I could think was "Aw, I would have figured that out." The game made me realize how soft and lazy modern gaming has made me. This game demands that you pay attention and figure out some pretty obtuse puzzles yourself. The only minor gripe I have is that it seems to do a slight frame skip, and from what I read it does actually run at 58 fps. It wasn't a big deal, but it would be nice if a patch is released to make it run at a fluid 60 fps.

Pid is mesmerizing. The art style and music are top-notch, and it's very fun to play. The first review of the game I read before buying was by PC Gamer, and it was faulted for being too hard. But so far I have not found it challenging in an unfair way or frustrating at all, in fact it's one of the tightest platformers I've played in recent memory.
