Linux version is broken

Linux version is just a Wine wrapper. It does not run in modern distribution (unsurprisingly) - black screen on the start.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War

GOG players are second-class citizens

The developers release new versions on GOG with huge lag. Which is really sad for a game which is much more fun in multiplayer. Also new versions does not come with patches - you have to reinstall the game completely. You decide for yourselves, but I regret now that I have paid for much worse support than on Steam. Not a lot to say about the game itself - it is just a really good remake of Civ IV. New mechanics fit, some original are stripped, and the game is really enjoyable. If you liked Civ, you most probably will like this game. And compared to other modern WH40K games, this one doesn't just exploit the title, but it is a good game itself.

SpellForce 3 Reforced

30% of Divinity: Original Sin

...twice the price. This game may feel good until you compare it with other RPGs launched last years. I've played Divinity: Original Sin, so to me Spellforce 3 feels just unfinished. It says RPG - but there is no role-playing. Plot is mostly linear, choices doesn't matter. Character classes are tiny and doesn't give much tactical variety. There is no abilities usable in storyline. It says RTS, but there is no strategy - all RTS missions has one scheme "take bases -> build army -> win mission". The game encourages you to manage resources, but to me it feels like developers just try to take the player's time with micro management because they can't offer anything else. And missions doesn't matter globally - they just advance you in the story. Graphics are nice, but poorly optimized - PC requirements are way too high for this graphics compared to other games launched in last 5 years. Again, Divinity was 2 years ago, and it is mostly looks better with much lower requirements. So, it you are Spellforce fan, you should like the game, but if you played some popular RPGs from last years, you might feel disappointed.
