Gollum is a unique game in the world of the lord of the rings. I don´t get why some many people like to downvote this game. also the press downvoted this game like it´s the worst game in history. there are so many big games from big (console) publishers, without a soul, with annoying gameplay and NO story to tell. games that want you make feel bad or teach you how you have to think and feel games that despess you and are just not FUN to play. these games get 90+ ratings and are hyped like they´ve reinvented the idea of gaming. sometimes I think all these big reviewers donwvote games like gollum, just to show they are still able to downvote a game. they are too frightened to downvote the big games from the big companies so they destroy games like gollum. you can say it´s not a perfect game, you can say it looks outdated, you can say its buggy, you can say some parts are repetitive, you can say gollum looks a little bit questionable and yes, you are right with all these things BUT gollum has also a lot to offer: - great soundtrack - cool level design - well written conversations between characters, that fit into the world of LOTR - many characters - varied levels - cool ideas inside of the levels - better controls than many AAA games - an ugly, freaky but loveable gollum (I really started to like this small dude) - awesome written twisted dialoges between gollum and smeagol - cool orks - some surprises (thinks you did not expect but feel a lot like LOTR) creatures etc... - clever leveldesign - many wonderful aesthetics - it´s not a short game but not a stretched game (okay a little bit stretched, but still smooth) Overall I just enjoyed the game as it has so much more to offer than I´ve thought. there are some great gameplay situations like a cursed forest, ghosts of the past and puzzles to reconstruct what happend. This game has been incredibly wronged and it is a shame that it is being degraded like this bought it on ps5 and bought it again on gog!
devil may cry are some of the best, perhaps the best games of their kind, there are not many games with such a great art design, soundtrack, likeable and cool characters and well done fighting mechanics, style etc... I could keep on writing but the fact is: hack and slash, action games like these are not common, these days. it´s just soulslike and roguelike etc.... the old god of war games and especially the devil may cry series, are some of the most fun games out there! they are epic, they are pushing, they are motivating and the most import of all: YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH THEM! devil may cry 1-3 + 4 now on gog is not less than awesome! At the moment you can get them for 15 Euros and trust me, there almost nothing, you could invest your money better than in these games! thank you gog <3 thank you capcom <3 it gets better and better. classic resident evil games on gog, classig dino crisis games on gog and now devil may cry! You make me happy ;)
the game itself is wonderful, great artwork, nice soundtrack and I love the atsmospherere. Would definitely recommend to buy this game! I´m sorry for everyone who has problems with this game but to be honest, many old games on gog have problems running on modern systems. gog needs to check their game database (game datas) regularly to update games so we can play them on modern systems. I own a retail version of the game which runs fine after investing some research and time, also I own this game here on gog... perhaps the game needs some work to work properly but it works, definitely! Check pcgameswiki and search septerra core. there are all the infos you need. I don´t want to blame the guys who have problems with game! I want to help people who are interested in the game or bought the game and think it won´t work ever... It´s absolutely possible to play this game without lag, stuttering, working cutscenes, working mouse (pointer) working sounds, working menues... the game is worth the investment (I don´t mean the M$ney) great game and have fun <3
it´s simply one of the best games out there, expecially one the best shooters! The game is great, the world is awesome, the weapons are fantastic... I just hated it because of the ´´semi´´open world... then I learned to love it! This game is wonderful! :)
Ich hatte mich sehr lange auf das Remake zu System Shock gefreut und muss ehrlich zugeben, dass ich das Original damals nicht gespielt habe. Bei mir spielt also keine nostalgische Verklärung mit hinein. Ja ich bin Bioshockliebhaber und alle haben davon geschwärmt, wie grandios System Shock mal WAR aber das ist 1000 Jahre her. Im Endeffekt habe ich die letzen Monate mehrfach über System Shock nachgedacht und da ich grob wusste, wie es vom Gameplay und dem Setting her aufgebaut ist, hat es mich dann doch ziemlich gejuckt. Das Spiel ist bisher (ich bin noch lange nicht durch, habe aber schon mehrere Stunden investiert und viele Aspekte vom Spiel gesehen) ziemlich genial. Die Atmosphäre alleine trägt schon das ganze Spiel, der Soundtrack ist genial und einfach nur richtig richtig gut. Gameplay macht auch sehr viel Spaß. Man hat verschiedene Waffen und Gegner, die mal mehr oder weniger anfällig für bestimmte Waffenarten sind. Munition muss immer schön gesammelt und eingeteilt werden. Story findet fast nur über Audiologs statt, ist aber alles kompakt und knackig gehalten. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist anpassbar in drei Bereichen, Rätsel, Kämpfe und ich glaube es war noch Cyberspace. Man kann also auch zur Not einfach entspannt spielen und die Atmosphäre genießen, ohne sich mit Munitionsmangel durch Massen an Gegnern zu quälen und alle paar Minuten einen Guide zu öffnen. Oder halt auch andersherum xD Was Nightdive hier auch vom Stil und Präsentation herausgeholt haben, Respekt. Für mich bisher eines der Schönsten Remakes. Der Pixelstil passt sogar ganz gut und gibt dem Spiel einen eigenen Charakter. Jeder der Bioshock mochte, auch gerne in alle Ecken guckt und sich Stück für Stück eine labyrinthartige Spielwelt erschließen möchte, sollte hier sehr gut aufgehoben sein. Mindestens sollte man mal die Demo spielen. Für mich eines oder sogar vielleicht DAS Spiel des Jahres und genau das Richtige, was ich bei den Spielen dieses Jahr endlich mal wieder gebraucht habe.
I really like this soundtrack. it´s awesome! Reminds me of the wonderful No Mans Sky Soundtrack from 65 Days of Static, but this Soundtrack has less noise elements. Sometimes it´s a little bit aggressive or pushing but many songs are just wonderful to relax or for listening while painting, drawing, beeing creative. For me it´s the perfect music to come down, to relax and to let go. Bought it for 5$ on Sale and would definitely spend 10$ if I would have known how good this soundtrack is.
Bioshock 2 gets criticized very often but I enjoyed it then and I´m still loving it today, as there are almost no games with such an impact, story, emotional thrill and this kind of message. Besides there is a wonderful world to explore, big daddy gets an extraordinary opponent and of course one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL SCENENES OF A VIDEOGAME EVER is from this game. (has something to do with little sisters and big daddy) The story is unique and different from the story of the first game, also the abilities are very interesting and give you some space to experiment. the weapons and melee are way better than in bioshock 1. Imagine playing a big daddy with his drill and all this crazy big daddy weapons. I loved the first one and I still do, but to be honest, my heart beats for the second game as this is the more emotional, balanced and thrilling underwater dystopian fantasy game of the complete series. You should play them all, including infinite (beside this is the weakest one). They are all woth it. have fun and enjoy your trip to rapture!

Yes this is no joke. I don´t know what other people were expecting but I thought this game would be crap but wanted to play it. I paid 3.99€ and I would have paid more, if I would have know about the quality. It reminds me at scorn but you can play it NOW! This is like a walking-simulator horror game and yes it makes fun. It has weapons and every weapon is uniqe. You reload them at living, organic weapon stages and yes they also refill your life gauge which is an awesome idea and gives you space for tactics. The gameplay is very slow, you have to watch every step, you have to play S L O W L Y ... this is not a 0815 shooter, this is not COD. You have to walk around, inhale the atmosphere, watch everything around. You have to think about how to kill enemies... you can use your surroundings to kill them for example aggressive plants which will hit them or eat them infront of you. you can combine weapons (shoot mushroom, burn mushroom gas -> kill enemies) There is a very cryptic story which is told by wall-paintings but it´s more like rules of a cult. you must connect it to the world to find out what happened. At the end there is a small sequence I liked it and I would LOVE to play an inner chains 2, but unfortunately there will never be a 2nd game. Can just recommend this game and had no crash
long story short... I liked her story... I thought it would be like her story but it is just like a bad copy of this game. telling lies feels like a shallow tv series cut into pieces and stretched to the limit. There is almost no crime, no thriller no suspense... nothing. You´re sitting infront of your pc watching videos starting in the middle of the clip... and watch how they talk about all their problems... life... relationships and so on. You have to rewind to the beginning of each video manually... sometimes you have to rewind 80% of the video. there is no ´´skip to the beginning of the video´´ - button... no YOU have to click the mouse and draw it yourself. It´s like a drama tv series and it´s absolutely disappointing. There is no depth, there is nothing worth sitting in front of your pc and punish yourself with this ´´game´´ At all it is NO Game... it is a collection of short clips and you are just watching them, then the next video and so on. Most of the time, you just see one side... one person talking. if the other person says something you can´t hear or see this, you just see the character of the clip listening to the other person but YOU hear and see nothing. then you have to type in all possible keywords to find the clip with the other person. At the end it is not just absolutely shallow and unlogic, it is boring, disappointing and you really ask yourself ´´why did I waste my time for this?´´ do yourself a favour and DO NOT BUY this ... whatever it is.. it is not a game. oh and the acting... yeah they are all professional actors... surely they know how to act but it is nothing special. some people praise the acting like some devs acted themselve but sam barlow and his crew hired professional actors. In some scenes it is an absolute pain to watch the clips. The female actors try to act kinky or naughty and it is just ashaming. I´m not prude but this was a torture to watch.
