I thought that things couldn't get worse than the last game where thermal detonators come out of nowhere, you can be shot through walls, and evasive maneuvers are punished by death. Our company wrote a review of the last game. This one's even worse. This game feels like it was sloppily put together. Characters dance around. Comrades jump in front of you while you're shooting. Other characters literally move past each other without engaging, and worst of all, characters get stuck, and twitch about, unable to move. I guess George Lucas can't afford a Q/A department. Also in CTF, you'll see characters get the flag and then just stand there and not move at all. We reported that nearly 500 units are still on market in three countries. These units will not be sold, but only given away if that is what the consumer buys, as it's against the law to sell games that are fixed and flawed. George won't see a penny of profit. Lucas spends so much time writing bad scripts, that it should have been predictable that he'd hire programmers who can't make quality games. In short, in those three countries (with a fourth nearly agreeing to do the same) his company and products are no longer accepted.
This is easily the worst "Might and Magic" game I've ever played. For some reason, they decided to jump on the "Age of Empires" bandwagon to make a game with a similar gameplay. Unfortunately, the game fails miserably. Much of the gameplay makes absolutely no sense. Age of Empires is my favorite game of all-time. It works because of the nearly endless scenarios you can use, which means that you can literally play a different game each time. it also works because the game and combat sequences run so smoothly. Here, you've got characters locked on some dumb hexagonal movement pad with little rocks and hills. Talk about cheap! No, whoever came up with this has little-no imagination, to say nothing about their creativity skills. So glad I only paid $2.50 for this game. It's still not worth it at even half this price! I'll stick to the best battle game ever created in Age of Empires rather than this cheap, knockoff version. I will also stick with the REAL Might and Magic games as well.
As someone already pointed out, the game literally crashes whenever you try to enter the Escaton Palace. I see no indication that GOG is trying to fix/solve the problem.. Not worth spending hours on a game you can't even finish. Someone in the Q/A department of GOG has really dropped the ball. Do NOT purchase until you find out if this has been fixed or not.
