The vanilla game is a very solid Battletech game, with fantastic music and decent storyline. Where this game really shines, though, is in the modding scene (RogueTech, BTAU, Battletech Extended etc.). Makes this one of a kind experience for sure, especially if you are into slower, more methodical mecha gameplay.

A very solid game. On Linux, had only minor framerate issues when exiting a building (under Heroic) and one forced reload (clipped through a building and got stuck). Combat and gameplay are surprisingly fun, at least on hard, and the story was told well, with a satisfying conclusion. I removed 1-star because 1) the flashbacks can break the overall flow of gameplay, especially early on (the later ones are better) and 2) the game needs more content midgame, more sidequests etc. Seattle itself feels a bit underutilized. Still, had a great time overall, 8/10.
