It takes a lot for a game to make me want to comment - but I eventually managed to tear myself away from it long enough to tell the friends I knew would appreciate a game with good pacing, scripting and design to go and check it out immediately; and to write this review, of course. My initial thoughts upon seeing the trailer was 'Silent Hill as a point and click adventure', but it goes a bit beyond that, with a believable main character and an art style that echoes the 30 Days of Night comic series. It won't be the hardest game in the world for anyone who's had experience with adventure games, and it can be quite dialogue-heavy in places, but it's all well-written and well-acted (my only gripe was at one point you could clearly hear the mic used to record the voice of one character picked up the pops whenever she said anything with a 'b' or 'p' in it, but it's a minor event) and the atmosphere and story it spins are worth the price of admission alone. I could go on, but I really must go back to exploring this dank, depressing yet beautifully realised world.
