This is a great game that lets you hire/fire/promote employees, build, and research your space station. The only downside that i found is that it moves way too fast and i can't slow it down. After a while you give up on reading the messages or listening to them, and you just click/close, while trying to finish whatever else you were working on. The trade frequency is so frequent that it can get hard to build all these building you're buying, etc.
This game has a decent campaign, but i was disappointed by the lack of depth on the research aspect. You have research buildings, but you don't really control beyond that. You have armies that are annoying to create, but beyond that are easy to use and command. You do get to build what you want, and you have to manage your power usage. The management aspect is challenging and fun. The biggest problem with this game is that it is really difficult to get running on Windows 7. i had to reinstall with administrator and Windows XP Service Pack 2, and i had to do this each time just to get past the black screen that it wants to start as.
The speed of this game is so fast that you can really only play it in sandbox mode. The controls are also redundant and a little clunky.
This game is fun, except for the driving missions. The streets are so small that it's hard to steer on them. There is also times when other cars blockade your way through, and you still have to get another car through, and it takes a lot of time to push the blockades out of the way. You'd think a humvee could just smash through anything less than a humvee, but no it takes the same amount of time and effort to get any type of car out of your way.
This game is so off the wall that you'll be laughing any time you're not frustrated by the odd tasks required to complete it. The graphics and sound are pretty annoying, but you can ignore the graphics and deactivate the music.
This still has the same bugs that my cd copy has. That means no cold spaghetti recipe, and some of the missions hang up fatally. This means you can't win without cheating. Sandbox mode is still a lot of fun though.
The first one was pretty good, and the animals would do what you wanted pretty easily. All the other games in this series are so difficult and unwieldy that it's more like just watching the game unfold instead of playing.
