STAR WARS™: Knights of the Old Republic

It's KOTOR and it's better than Steam

It's the KOTOR you know and love, and if you don't know it. It's the perfect balance of Star Wars and RPG. Strong D&D influence, good combat system. It's dated but it still is better than anything since KOTOR 2. The real plus is that the GOG version works out of the box. It seems to support some higher resolutions too. It doesn't crash all the time like the Steam release. This is a must buy.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Showing they learned from Kingmaker

So far, everything has worked much nicer in WotR. It's like they refined everything people didn't like in the first game with this one. My only gripe is some of the companions aren't great early on, big recommend for this one.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

A massive improvement on the original

Implementing turn-based combat, a more appealing setting and just a great cast of characters. A perfect step up from the OG

Shadowrun Hong Kong - Extended Edition

Fantastic CRPG

If you played Dragonfall and Returns you know what you're in for, it's more of the same but another tale full of intrigue and deception.

Torment: Tides of Numenera

A slow burning RPG

Before you pick this up, throw everything you know out the window, aside from controls nothing is familiar. The setting, the stats and mechanics even the concepts of reality are unique. Once you get right into the game though it's fantastic.

Shadowrun Returns

A well paced CRPG

It's not long but it doesn't drag on either. If you want a great adventure thats down to earth in a Cyberpunk/Fantasy hybrid world. Strongly recommend

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition

A flawed gem

Pathfinder Kingmaker is a well made CRPG with some great mechanics and amazing characters. The gameplay is enjoyable and challenging. The biggest letdown kind of comes from the name. Once you become a baron the game feels less focused and you find yourself just bumbling around. The city management also doesn't appeal to me (but that can largely be disabled which is awesome). It's a brilliant game for the right person, it just isn't me.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Much closer to expectations

I enjoy CP77 at launch but phantom liberty and the 2.0 patch really add a lot to enjoy. It introduces a few new animation bugs and stuff but overall there's a lot of polish and a lot of work gone into the game. It's in a great state and is actually challenging on VH difficulty.
