Forget about tutorials - you'll have to figure everything out on your own. UI isn't helping either: I had missed exits several times because they all said "walk to the path" with no indication that these are different paths. Also, when the time comes to use a new move, hitting your head against the wall will give you more hints about what to do than the actual game. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it does make playing tedious, especially coupled with long unskippable walks and animated reactions to things. The story itself is pretty solid, but very, very 90s: women here are only to be ogled, jokes are often cringe-worthy and there's plenty of racism to go around. Aside from that, it's a good point-n-click if you are out of everything better.
I'm curious about full game, hope it'll be similar in depth to Gagex's Hungry Hearts Diner. In the full game I hope to see a way around constantly skipping through short sentences ("..."s drove me nuts, especially with the pause between the press of the key and game's reaction), and a better learning curve. I'm not ACTUALLY a barista :), so I have no clue how to make latte art and I need a distinction between settings I can and cannot change (on drinks).
