The mod appears to run perfectly when installed as directed. It turns Fallout 4 into a nearly new game. The Brit accents are a little hard to decipher for this old lady Yank, but the subtitles help a lot. Thank you very much, FOLON Team, for this mod.
You should realize if you download this free alpha that it is sadly out of date. The version here is .17-something, while the equally free alpha on Steam is .3573. I am a staunch supporter of gog, and not all that fond of Steam, but if you really want to see what this free alpha looks like, get it from Steam. Downloading this one will only leave you frustrated because it is BAD. It only vaguely resembles the version on Steam. The graphics are the same and that is about it. The Interface is completely different and the missions are also. The good news, if the developer actually updates the game itself on gog in timely fashion, is that said developer appears to be improving the game. Given how the free alpha is being treated, I have my doubts. The game itself, once experienced properly, is very like Caesar IV crossed with Children of the Nile. Buildings have circular areas of effect and must be built adjacent to roads. Migrants trickle in if you build housing. The Nile floods once a year. I have not played long enough to know whether there are random weather effects.
It's no longer in their promo material, but originally they said we could set up our people to worship what ever we wanted them to worship, even cats. So I bought the game, but there was nothing but a two-axis model based on sex and violence. When I asked the devs if they were going to add more themes later, they responded with puzzlement. I can see why now, watching the release trailer. Sex and violence was all they had to sell, in cartoon form no less. I'm sorry now that I contributed in any way to their effort.
I was only able to play this on my Win 10 (64-bit) gaming PC by disconnecting it from the Internet. When it was connected to the Internet, it would close after a minute or two, deleting the required two executable files as it closed (the launcher and the 64-bit version of the game). I have no idea yet whether the game is worth anything. If it turns out to be worth playing, I will raise the rating if I am allowed to do so. At the moment I am a bit disgruntled.
I have only played this for any length of time in Sandbox modes, of which there are four. Once I learned how to access the editor and the command console, by reading posts from players on the Steam forum, I am happy enough with Sandbox mode. The only documentation of the hotkeys is under the Options section where you are told what they are, but cannot remap them. Also, there are symbols that appear on the screen and nowhere does the game explain what they mean. Campaign mode attempts to blend RPG aspects into an adventure story, supported by inn-building where you are given instructions for each step. According to bug reports and patch releases, the campaign is still not playable from beginning to end. This is a released game. Considering that Campaign mode is supposed to be the star of the show, it should have been fully playable at release. Scenario mode consists of five scenarios with no clues what is expected of you until you run each one. You can make your own scenarios. There are no instructions on how to invoke the editor, or what to do once you arrive there. There is a You-Tube video from one of the developers on how to make a scenario. He says he was an assistant in making dialogues for the Campaign, and it shows. He knows that part of the editor very well, but seems a bit lost otherwise. This segues into the problem with support. Faced with overwhelming criticism, the developers chose to retreat from both GOG and Steam forums. They retreated to Discord, where they happily ignore everyone as best as I can tell. The engine is overwhelmed by the load presented to it, and the developers know it. I would have given them more stars if their support had been responsive. Anyway, buy this if you are curious and can afford the money. It is a nice simulator in Sandbox mode, with occasional glitches that require a restart of the program. The reloaded saves seemed to be okay. Don't hold your breathe for support.
This game is fun and easily customized if you know how to edit a text file. The developers are responsive on their own forum. So what is this game? It is a simulation of running a hospital. You can start tiny and work your way up, or edit the cash available at the beginning and plunge right into a full-sized hospital. The departments and job classifications may not be laid out the way you are accustomed to seeing them in your home country. They are not, for me. But they are close enough to be recognizable and do function the way they are set up. If you are looking for something humorous, buy Theme Hospital. If you are looking for a serious simulator, buy this game.
House Flipper and Garden Flipper still work fine for me, with game patches added to support this DLC. I had to de-install and re-install without this DLC in order to continue playing the game, though. I had set it aside for a month-and-a-half, waiting for a patch to fix the game-breaking issues. There have been patches since then, but nothing addresses this DLC. Issues I observed are plumbing not installing correctly and furniture-moving bugging out. I actually ended up outside the game boundries once when I tried to move a sofa. Some of the original missions cannot be completed because of this bug. These issues are both absent with this DLC not installed. So, wait before you buy it, or if you want to support the game maker, buy it but do not install it. Cove molding and before-and-after shots aren't worth the hassle of the bugs.
