Played half of the first level of this game about 20 years ago at my parents' friends house. Finally bought it and finished it. You can see a dreadful harbinger of the post-whedonesque modern marvel-gearbox writing style which has plagued most forms of entertainment from 2010 on in it, but honestly it has enough flare to be charming about it. The gameplay was a lot of fun and I didn't find playing as Doc as hard as some people in the reviews did because I have like 5 mouse buttons, so no worries. Rock-solid visual design for an old game, back when people were getting more polygons to work with but hadn't given their worlds over to indistinct greeble hell. Lots of neat shapes and good level layouts, although the Jim Dandy is a bit of a maze. As someone with no nostalgia for anything EXCEPT for the first half of the first level, I can honestly say this game is pretty dang okay! I give it a very enthusiastic 3/5 stars or an extremely relaxed 4/5.
