I really don't know how to describe this game, it's simple to learn, hard to master. The only way I could describe Smugglers V is to compare it to Sid Meier's Pirates, and Elite. The game is simplistic, easy to learn, hard to master, everything you could ask for in this style of game. There's no CGI cut scenes, it's all text, and art, and data screens, but what the developers did with that, is nothing short of incredible. The depth and complexity of smugglers 5 is hard to see at first glance, the game is really easy to learn, you start as a lone captain, in a small under powered ship, and you have the potential to be, well anything you want, pirate lord, pirate hunter, fight in wars the factions wage, or be a war profiteer, the choices are endless. Smugglers V is a really open ended game, and each faction and class does a good job making each play through new and fresh experience. If you never played it before, and liked Master of Orion, Sid Meier's pirates, or any game of that nature, I recommend this game.
