What is this even?

The art direction is atrocious. The animation feels very generic, like they hired some After Effects animator from Fiver. Lightyears from the beautiful work done by Steve Purcell and Martin 'Bucky' Cameron. (But let us not forget the rest of the art dept: Tami Borowick, James Alexander Dollar, William L. Eaken, Mike Ebert, Mark J. Ferrari, Avril Harrison, Iain McCaig, James McLeod, Michael Stemmle, Sean Turner) Instead of seeking the art direction of Gary Winnick, who worked on the first, and best two titles in the series, they went with Rex Crowle of Knights and Bikes. A game with a similar graphic style, albeit used to much greater effect than RTMI. This is a preliminary review, as I haven't had a chance to play the game yet. Perhaps the story and gameplay will wow me, but if this were 1992 and the box were on the shelf of my local electronics store, I would flip it around, look at the hideous art, and pick up something else. (Same reaction I had to MI3, which in retrospect and by comparison now looks like a great work of art.)
