Planet of Lana

A Short but Unforgettable Adventure

Planet of Luna delivers a compact yet powerful experience, excelling in its straightforward gameplay, enchanting soundtrack, and touching story. While the adventure is relatively brief, lasting around two hours, it offers a deeply memorable journey that lingers long after the credits roll. The mechanics embrace simplicity, offering intuitive controls and accessible puzzle-solving. The platforming elements are smooth and unintrusive, allowing players to focus on the emotional weight of the journey. It’s a perfect example of how less can sometimes be more when mechanics serve to complement, rather than overshadow, the story. The music is a standout feature, wrapping you in its gentle yet evocative melodies. Every note feels carefully crafted to enhance the mood, making the experience immersive and emotionally resonant. Even after completing the adventure, you’ll likely find yourself revisiting the soundtrack to relive its magic. Despite its short runtime, the narrative delivers a poignant and heartfelt experience. Through minimal dialogue and masterful visual storytelling, it explores themes of connection, perseverance, and hope. The bond between the characters is palpable, drawing players into their world in an incredibly short amount of time. The game doesn’t overstay its welcome. Instead, it feels like a beautifully wrapped gift—brief but filled with meaning. Its concise length makes it ideal for players seeking a quick, emotional journey that can be enjoyed in one sitting. This is proof that a game doesn’t need to be lengthy to leave a lasting impact. With accessible gameplay, a gorgeous soundtrack, and a heartfelt story, it stands out as a shining example of quality over quantity. A short, sweet, and unforgettable experience that deserves to be played.

Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition

A Stunning Adventure Worth Exploring

This is an exceptional game that I thoroughly enjoyed playing from start to finish. The game's world is vast and incredibly detailed, with stunning landscapes that make exploring the open world a joy. The story is also a standout feature, with a complex and thought-provoking narrative that kept me engaged throughout. The characters are well-developed and memorable, and their interactions and relationships are a key driving force behind the game's compelling storyline. But what truly sets it apart is its gameplay. The combat is fluid and satisfying, with a wide range of weapons and tactics that allow for a truly immersive experience. The game's crafting system is also a standout feature, giving players the ability to create and upgrade equipment to suit their playstyle. The game's side quests and activities are also well-designed, providing a range of challenges and opportunities for exploration. From taking down giant robotic beasts to uncovering hidden secrets and treasures, there's always something new to discover in it. Overall, it is an exceptional game that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys open-world adventures and immersive storytelling. Its stunning visuals, engaging gameplay, and rich world make it a must-play for any gamer.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Really really really wanted to like it

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a game that left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, the game's graphics and sound design are outstanding, delivering a truly immersive and atmospheric experience. The use of binaural audio is particularly impressive, creating a sense of presence that few other games can match. However, where Hellblade falls short is in its gameplay. While the combat can be satisfying at times, it ultimately feels repetitive and lacks the depth of other action games. Additionally, the puzzles can be frustratingly obtuse, requiring trial and error rather than clever thinking to solve. Overall, while Hellblade's technical achievements are impressive, the gameplay leaves something to be desired. If you're looking for a game with stunning visuals and audio, it's worth checking out. But if you're looking for engaging gameplay that will keep you hooked for hours, you may want to look elsewhere. Horizon Zero Dawn Forbidden West is on my PC wish list next!

This War of Mine

Own on steam as well, support the cause

Game is pretty good. Dark, but good. Probably accurate to what was going on in the developer's head with the history of the area. God bless.

Hard Reset Redux

Entertaining FPS

If you just want a great collection of weapons, enemies, and bosses, you'll love the redux. Controls are perfect. Sword is a blast. Story is unnecessary but present. Buy on sale.
