Sanitarium

Where is that horribe music coming from?

Sanitarium still holds up today. It's a good game, good cinematics for such an old game. I enjoyed most of it, but it does have some flaws. Remember to save often if you just encounter something that you can 'undo'. Had a bug so a text wasn't visible so I had to redo that whole section because of it. The slow walking, (Despite 1 character that walks faster) certain voices in the game were pretty bad. The story is pretty nice, but I felt the ending wasn't made. It just happened and that was that. Credits roll. Despite the minor flaws and a bad ending. It's still worth playing. For it's age it's certainly has aged very well.

Far Cry®

'Where did he go?'

Far cry doesn't pretend to be anything else than an FPS game. Story plays like a B-movie. Sound is OK. Soundtrack is nothing special. But what it does nail down is gameplay. Instead of being able to quick-save and quick-load all the time like any game out there. There is checkpoints, usually around where your current objective is. This is what makes Far cry shine. It actually get difficult. It's actually hard! In some points (3-5?) you will get 'stuck'. Usually it's many enemies you have to combat at the same time. But every time you get that last kill using the last round in your rifle... It's damn gratifying. But Far cry is no means a have to play game or a classic. Recommended to anyone that enjoys FPS-games.

Beyond Good & Evil™

Hammertime

Beyond good & evil had some great things about it. Jade and her uncle are wonderful characters. The soundtrack is really good, the graphics are marvelous at times. Despite being an older game. The hud goes away sometimes and felt much more like a movie. But the more I played the worst it got. Same fights, same enemies, same buttons... Get object to continue.. Look at map for place to 'investigate'. You didn't explore anything! You looked at a map, then you had exact locations where you needed to go. So all that was to waste. Mostly you have to stealth, because otherwise you'll die by lasers. Which will shoot you instantly if you get spotted. Then you have to do it all over again. But I played through all that. I thought the ending would be good. Something. You know? But the boss fight is atrocious. The ending, the same. I wouldn't recommend this game.
