I've played all these games back when they were new. In this fantastic bundle you get 2 dog and the rest are gold. How bad Hillsfar and Secret of the Silver Blades are is more than made up for how great the rest are. Pools of Radiance is a fantastic start to the series and is low level D&D. It was so frustrating to find I missed my first magic items because I didn't cast find magic on the first large battle lol. It was followed by the utterly great Curse of the Azure Bonds. The series just kept getting bigger and better. I don't think I won the last two frontier games and now I can try my hand at those. The six of the remaining games (not Hillsfar nor Sectret of the Silver Blades) are some of the best CRPGs I've ever played. Real stories with some stupid hard battle and some stupid crazy challenges if your wanting that (the room of beholders anyone?). It takes a bit to get my old 2nd edition D&D head on but its fantastic. Please DO NOT try Hillsfar or Secret of the Silver Blades first, or preferably ever. Hillsfar really isn't like the others. It is a action game not a turn based strategy game like the rest and was okay, if a bit of suck, back in the day. Today it is just bad. Secret of the Silver Blades is stupid easy with just silly loot that makes your character into mini gods that are nearly indestructible way too early in the game. I use to call it the Secret of Monte Hall. It isn't a challenge once you get the feel for what is going on. Silver or mirrored armor was just stupid for those who know what I'm talking about. You can safely ignore both those and be better off for the experience.
I loved both MOO1 and MOO2. MOO3 was a horrible disappointment. I cannot even tell you how many hours I dumped into MOO 1&2. I bought MOO3 at a discount less than a year after it came out. This seriously worried me. I tried to play the game I really did. I hated it than and cannot bring myself to play it now. Where MOO1 & 2 were fun MOO3 isn't. The only way I'll own this is if they bundle it with the first 2. This is a bad game in its own right and a worse game when you consider it is the MOO franchise.
