I just came to Iconoclasts looking for a fun simple game and I found an engaging and emotional story with political commentary besides the fun metroidvania gameplay. It surprised me and I love it for it.
Although the story stops surprising unlike in the first game. I think this entry has a superior gameplay and the free roaming less linear approach gave it a far more enjoyable replayability. I really enjoyed this game and I already finished it a few times.
Yeah, I said it was near perfect, but I loved it so 5 stars.
