Trust the makers of the Homeworld series to know how to inject feeling and emotional stakes into what might otherwise function just fine as a detached, aesthetically pleasing game world with novel mechanics. A pleasant suprise! In a market where games that stray too far from well established formulas turn out gimmicky and half-baked as often as not, I'm glad I rolled the dice on this one.
