Unfortunately the missing DLC geatly limit the play experience. Square Enix has long been dismissive of, or outright hostile to, mods and 3rd party additions. Things that are arguably necessary to make such old games playable by modern standards. Just look at the prices of the old FF games on any device. They are certainly one of the most anti-consumer of the big publishers.
