Survival Horror masterpieces

Gog, you definitely made my day in releasing such masterpieces! Even the original version...speechless!

Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition

A good DMC Chapter

First time playing DMC4 (Playstation 2 was the last console I bought), I find it smoother than previous games (although DMC1 and 3 are truly epic). In addition, the chance to (finally) play with Trish and Lady, with their own techniques, really adds value to the game: the only downsize is that the same levels are repeated many times, as the only difference between them, Vergil and Dante/Nero is few more cutscenes. I find also the "fierce souls" mechanism a good one, as it is possible to avoid the trade-offs in previous chapter (to buy a technique or an item? Tricky question when the item is a blue, purple or gold orb). Nero, the new main character and his devil bringer changes the usual "sword and guns" approach in a good way; the devil bringer attacks can be different for each enemy, increasing of variety of combos. I didn't face any crash issue on startup, but I understand that the game has been tweaked to a lower resolution until (hopefully) Gog will issue a patch (hope soon). This is also mentioned in the "Description" section. This is the same issue as the Steam's release and there is an already available fix, so my vote is mainly for the game itself and for GOG for having issued it DRM-free (this has to be taken into account). When GOG will have fixed the resolution issue I will be happy to increase my vote by one star.
