PROS: Got tons of class builds You can use custom images for character portraits. I use anime characters for my mercenaries hehe 6 characters in a party Mounts. I'm still not sure about how they level up. I think it's different when you initially hired the mercenary. The battles are good. The aesthetics look good. Wished it had more option to customize your mercenaries look. CONS; Can be gamebreaking systems and bugs. Like that crusade system which the morale plummets easy and when it goes negative and you wasted some of your army on a battle you are going to be stuck. Had to edit the morale to continue the hours i spent on a run rather than just playing a save file way back. Money is hard to come by so yes you are going to have problems if you don't have a healer/support merc. The amount of gold needed to hire a mercenary rises exponentially too. You are going to have problems with ability drains. If you don't have a priest with restoration or you don't have money to buy the scrolls then you are stuck. You can't use your party's ability when at the safe camp to save money. Kinetic Sharpshooter metakinesis quicken is bugged. Doesn't shoot continously if it's in automatic mode. Keen-eyed adventurer witch's improved cantrip not working. So i bought it cheap and now i know why they made it cheap :D Still a fun game to play and get your imagination running but it is unpolished.
I think there's a lot of replayability in this game. I'm currently having fun. I'm constantly thinking of character builds.
Very often these old games are rich in gameplay, got tons do and the replay value is high that's why it's still popular till this day. Unlike gacha games which you can spend thousands of dollars for a size of content similar to this.
When i bought this game on steam i already finished 2 out of 3 of it's story routes. This game is worth your money because of the replay value. The gameplay is also good because you get to actively play 6 heroes in battles which is i think is rare it's usually an average of 4 that you get to use and also the humour is plenty. And add to that the very pleasingly cute and sexy art drawn by Tsunako who also drawn arts for Neptunia and Date A Live series! This game is much more darker than the Neptunia series btw. And also like it's sister game and like some RPG out there the game is grindy but you can set the difficulty to super easy so that you can just enjoy the game's story and not needing to put too much hours in the game.
