Cyberpunk 2077

Too much Flak, not enough praise

Only write reviews for games that I feel earn them. (Either good or bad). I wasn't going to buy this game until I heard people were actually suing CD Projekt Red for making a game. So I put it on and the first thing I noticed was the severe lack of glitches that people moaned about, so they are either rare or mostly fixed. The second thing I realised was it was midnight and I had been playing for over 6 hours in what felt like 30 min. The story drags you in and will not let you go, the gameplay is fluid (mostly) and the characters you meet are to die for. People make a big deal out of pronouns and penises they seem to forget that this is a game and their real world hangups mean nothing to a game. It is a collection of data and is meant for entertainment not political statements. Keanu is sublime and his character (Johnny) has such rapport with V that the situation felt organic and in a way beautiful. This game is a work of art and I remember when art was appreciated, warts and all. For the sake of fairness I will state that there are still a few bugs in the game but only one required loading an earlier save. (Which is less loading than I needed for Mass Effect 2 and 3).
