The Adventures of Willy Beamish is one of the best point and click adventure games from way back when this genre was top dog. I'd put it in my top 3. It has impressive and detailed backgrounds, goofy characters, and a lot of funny dialog. The puzzles aren't as horribly obtuse as in other point and click games either. Willy Beamish was made by Dynamix too so that means lots of elaborate game over sequences. Honestly I love them. In many Sierra games when you get a game over you're simply treated to a little paragraph saying why it's game over, but in Dynamix games you get this whole big production. Me and my whole family have had a lot of fun with this game throughout the years.
I first played Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People on the Nintendo Wii. I had a lot of fun with it but I only got one episode because I was hoping it would get a physical release at some point. Sadly, it never did and then Nintendo shut down their digital service. But I was happy to find all the episodes bundled together here DRM-free on GOG. They really did a great job making this game. The graphics and humor are all faithful to the source material and it plays as well as any old point and click adventure. This is a genuinely funny game that's easy to recommend to fans of Homestar Runner or point and click adventures. Although I don't think you need to be familiar with the Homestar Runner cartoons to enjoy this game. However if you want to see the cartoons this game is based on they are free to watch and easy to find online. (I've been playing through it on Windows 10 without any technical issues.)
