This version is the best way to play these games. The controls feels pretty smooth and responsive, and the game is intact. The multiplayer support is great. One caveat is the fact that freelook comes with the same rendering distorsion as the original when you look up or down. I prefer to have a toggle, because it's a bit distracting and freelook should not be disabled.
Good remaster for this old game. For free if you already purchased heretic before. I would love to see an option to add a "hardware" render, the distorsion the camera makes whne looking up or down is very cool and classic but I don't like it.
Use the Community Update! This game does not work properly on it's own on my system, but with the opengl renderer it works flawlessly
