I remember playing this when it came out and enjoying every moment of it. Its well executed and intense at times. Nothing better than ordering your team to cuff someone or do it yourself. Great invironments and places to take out your missions. Even the graphics hold up well today. Sound and atmosphere is great. Must of played through it a few times when it came out. Now with great pleasure, enjoyed it again.
This is for me is a love hate relationship. The game itself is great. 007 meets COD but the fact you have to repeat the missions over and over until you get it right with no saves or checkpoints is a killer for me. Its simply a way of making a really short game seem alot longer. Why not make the game alot longer with checkpoints or saves?Their is no way you can go into missions thinking " I'll take my time and plan my attack ". No you will be repeating missions over and over until you either understand the structure and positioning of the enemy then understand what you need to do. Strange that the more stealthy you play the harder the game seems to be. I ended up bypassing areas by running rather than steathly going through. Sometimes the best solution was to find a corner so I could see what was coming at me and simply shoot soldiers one by one as they attacked. If you dont mind repeating missions over and over till you get it right and learn the areas its worth the time to play. If not the stay away. But there is some fun to have if you can tolarate its no save tactic.
Vampyre is a great fun romp but strangely enough I played through without having to bite one human being. Fighting mechanics are a high point alla Dark Souls without the fustration of thinking you may never win but still challenging. Great story as well. Well recomended especially on sale.
