You'd be better off saving your money and getting the original versions and installing all the mods. With the mods you can play Baldurs Gate 1 in the Baldurs Gate 2 version of the engine with all it's improvements plus you can also make BG1, BG2 and the Throne of Baal one seamless game. Plus it's got all the graphical enhancements, widescreen mods, UI fixes, missing quests, community bug fixes etc etc. Basically the enhanced edition is pretty pointless and it's not as good as a fully modded version of BG1/2 so why bother :)
I don't know who's bum these 5 stars are being pulled from but this game is awful. Fighting is terrible, story is terrible, it's Bioware/EA at its worst. I remember before it came out it promised all these amazing things, fights in a tea house where you could use all the environment against your enemies.....total nonsense, never delivered on any of them. If you like Knights of the old Republic then you won't like this game. It's more like a rubbish version of Mass Effect, same kind of bland environment where you can't really interact with anything apart from the odd object scattered around. Thankfully I've pretty much erased this game from my memory so I can't give you the best examples of why it was rubbish other than to say its my most hated game of all time.
