Great story, not much of a game

If you look for yet another visual novel about romancing kids with huge eyes, then look elsewhere. If you came for great gameplay and puzzles, then there are none in this "game". This is literally a book with a few sketchy background images. If you search for a very good cyberpunk story, then you just found a masterpiece. You will have to play this twice. The weird thing is that most of the story and background stay the same, yet your experience will be totally different the first and the second playthrough. It is hard to describe without spoiling the plot. There are two endings in this game. I believe you will get the first one no matter the decisions you have made. I didn't get the second ending in my second playthrough despite "playing" very differently. I had to search the internet for "correct" decisions. This is frustrating enough to give the game 3 stars. However, the ending and epilogue are very rewarding and the game is so different from a typical VN, I can't give it a score lower than it deserves. Pro's: - Very good cyberpunk story. Very good balance between the main plot and emotional colors. - Long story, will keep you reading for 7-10 hours. - Believable characters and their motivation. Believable setting. Con's: - Not a game. You will make 3 decisions during the entire game. This is literally a book. - Forces you to play twice. But I think this bold decision allows you to enjoy the epilogue more because you can't rush to it.

A puzzle game with a twist

The solution is often straightforward. It will be compared to results of other players in terms of code size, speed and resources taken. That comparison is what will drive you mad. You can spend hours trying to optimize your code. If that feeling sounds familiar, if you like to search for optimal solutions, then you will enjoy this game. It is not about coding or assembly language. You won't become a programmer by playing this game. The entire setting can be replaced by something like a marble machine without changing the core rules. If you have read so far, you will probably enjoy this game too.
