Basically a big love letter to media such as THE THING, but you play as the monster. Tearing through the humans is tons of fun, and the metroidvania aspect is interesting. It's all done with ZERO dialog, it's all monster fun all the way (except some shifting gameplay which last minutes). Difficulty is pretty well balanced, so it's never too easy or too hard. This goes for both combat and the puzzles (which sometimes overlap). Visuals and music are on point. Love the retraux look, and the music is SPOT ON for the creepy factor. Flawless in this department. Only things I would say are a con, it's a bit easy to get lost. There's no map in the game, and some areas look way too similar to each other. Embarassing to admit this, but I got pretty lost at one part in the beginning. The other point is just how short it is. 4-5 hours and it's all over. No NG+, beating the game just unlocks the demo. Woo? Wish there was some challange modes or something. This game is cool as heck, and I wish it had more. It's short, but sweet. I'd recommend waiting on a deal, really.
