And excellent if somewhat different take on the Firaxis XCOM formula. Shorter battle scenarios, with the interleaved (but modifiable with some abilities) turns turning the fights into a bit more of a puzzle instead of one-sided pod massacres (or getting massacred if things go not as well). Good enough story for a smaller sequel while we wait for a proper XCOM 3, with three enemy organizations each with their own goals, in one case you might even really feel for them, if not for the danger their plans pose for the city. Probably also quite a bit easier than the full XCOM games, judging by me actually having managed to get all the achievements over at Steam.
Two old favorites with some excellent events, but also some gamebreaking bugs, both old, like the skating and cycling events invariably pushing you out of the track in the third lap, as well as some weird new ones with the events that require you to let go of the space bar no longer registering that at higher running speeds... Still, even with its problems, the parts you can actually play are even now enjoyable enough to be worth this low price.
The pinnacle of the Settlers series and still just as great all these years later. The gameplay is just as enjoyable now as it was when this was released, the gorgeous pixel graphics look just as good even by today's standards, and the minimalist characters are nonetheless adorable and amazingly expressive. Time just slips by as you're building your colony, wanting to keep going just a little bit longer, or take the battle to your neighbors to get to your next objective.
