Requiem: Avenging Angel

Be Aware

I got it to run once briefly, then never again. No matter how I fiddle with the config or compatibility settings, it freezes on start up. Would be nice if it was better optimized and I could actually play it.

NecroVision

Underrated Gem

I think this game is grossly underrated, it's WWI, it's painkiller. What more could you ask for?

NecroVisioN: Lost Company

Very Underrated

This is a very underrated shooter and a lot of fun. I highly recommend it! It's like Wolfenstein and Painkiller set in WWI.

SWAT 4: Gold Edition

Fantastic Tactical Shooter

Definitely capitalizes on SWAT 3. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning. There are two levels in particular where you get real creeped out. It is weird that a lot of the music in the game is very horror themed. Action is quick and easy. It's hilarious hearing your teammates all shouting, "FREEZE! HANDS UP! GET ON THE GROUND!" at some stubborn civilian. The "Hey boss, you're in my spot" crap is annoying. Highly recommended.

Realms of the Haunting

Real amazing game!

Everything about this game is so great - the music, the FMV sequences, the atmosphere, the action, the puzzles -- well, now that I mention the puzzles, the platforming sequences are a pain in the butt, but they are great otherwise. My only gripe with it, besides the aforementioned platforming sequences, is that the enemies in the game look kind of cartoonish to me and clash with the rest of the art style of the game. Definitely worth picking up and playing again and again and again.

Sword of the Samurai

Fun to a point

Very fun game with so much going on! My only issue is the limited amount of options during your turn, but the game is still fantastic regardless. Can't believe I waited so long to try it out. The soundtrack is pretty awesome too, like borderline EBM at some points. Love the art too!

Redline

Fun, but...

It's a fun game for a little while, but to me it grew old rather fast and there were some glaring issues such as the first person field of view and horrible sound design. I gave it a try, and it just wasn't my thing.

Shogo: Mobile Armor Division

Really fun, but...

Gameplay wise, this game was a blast. It was also a welcome challenge because enemies can kill you as easily as you can kill them. The sound effects sound like they are ripped directly from an old anime such as Gundam (and they very well may have been). The only thing that really bothered me was the writing. The story was really rushed and missing a lot, and a chunk of it was presented in loading screens, which is definitely not a good way to do it. There was also a scene during the credits that was pretty messed up. Despite that though, this game is definitely worth a play.
