After 3 years of waiting and having an outdated version on GOG (vs Steam), the publisher finally releases the full game for us, second class gamers. Instead of enabling the purchase of the missing Minor Factions DLC on its own to complete our game, they decided to rebundle the whole definitive edition into a new catalog entry. Now there are 2 "definitive" (haha) editions. If we want the full game on GOG, then we have to pay for all of it again. Considering the 3-years wait and the abyssmal communication of the publisher on this matter, everyone on GOG who already had the definitive edition beforehand should have been upgraded to this one for free.
Inferior version compared to Steam as the devs decided GOG users don't deserve the latests DLC. Extremely sad because the game is really excellent, but incomplete on GOG, thus incompatible with those who don't want to invest in Steam or started on GOG. BTW, the developper does not provide any answers about this despite users explicitely asking for explanations for about 3 years now. Avoid at all costs until this editor has a fair sale policy on GOG.
I'm a huge fan of this game since the very beginning. Outlaw sectors definitely does not introduce major changes like some of the first add-ons (Diplomacy, Entrenchment and Rebellion) did. It is more on the scale of Stellar Phenomena, with very (or should I say extremely) sparse additions. If you're new to the game, you should definitely disable mini add-ons like Ourlaw Sectors and Stellar Phenomena which will make the game confusing for you. However, if you're experienced with the game, these add-ons will bring a decent amount of changes that will force you to adapt your strategy and habits to new conditions.
