This is very cool game. It looks complicated but after 1-2 game you understand whats going on. Also there is excelent manual in game ( video and writing). Not a lot animations were put in but grapics are very preety. For a board game visuals are great. Sound effects and music were good too. I'he plaied a few board games on pc but this one is might be the best. The in game mechanics put in perfectly. There are 4 different types of play with each charracter but before I continue I have to say about most important thing... This is one of the most fun board game I've ever played. Its not competetive but feels more like a adventure (as the title says) ussually you try to destroy others in bordgames but not in this. Game world is very hard. You cant just go random. Game is like %40 luck and %60 tactics which is rare for a board game and you have to utilise all of your skills ( just like in witcher) Sadly there are problems too. They made a good matchmaking sytem, with in-game chat, logs and filtering but the disconnection issues are severe. You can just disconnect from you perfect game and ruin you fun. Also there is one big feature is missing and thats the victory goals. There is a Victory Point system in game (you get is by defeating monsters and fhinshing side quests) but there is no point to it because you can only win the game by comleating the main quests. Which changes the game compleatly..for bad. It takes the adventure side because you can easly focus compleating 3 main quests and you are done. It also causes imbalance in game and Geralt and Triss are become weak characters. They have to bring the "ment to be" mode aswell. Also game could use same improvements for offline plays. The AI is "ok" be ause Its playig to get VP there for looks stupid. One another note is there is no slider to adjust AIs speed. It just plays very fast and you dont know what It did at Its turn. Its a good efford and good final work but I cant recommend for for those want online only.
Been waiting for this for a long time. Constantly checking forums and Dev Diaries. I just finished the game. Well sory but took only 4 hours and even I did go all the posiable places and accuallly spend some time at the mansion (couldnt find my way). What they (thechineseroom ) focused was story. They thought they could give an intence experiance by focusing just that but saddly they dumbed down lots of game elements which made the series is a hit! For example there is no inventory so there for no healt or sanity or complex puzzles. You have unlimited light source! Another dumbed down feature is the blinks that your light is doing when a monster come nearby. So all you do is turn of, crouch and just stand still for a 8-15 sec. Then you continue walking and ingore all the creepy sounds or atmosphere. And since there is no gameplay features all you have is very simplified take this and put it there puzzles. They are so obsessed with the scripted events and so called story ( btw there is no twist ) they forget the "real story" what Frictional Games made all these years. The real story was the experiance! Since there is no gameplay there is no experiance. The Series become Dear Ester which is NOT A GAME! sorry but It is what It is. They've just wasted all the hard work on the details and story by not doing any gameplay issues. Frictional Games should deffinetly make this series for themselfs. Im very disappointed by It. 5/10 (+1 from soundtrack)
This is my first review ( for this special game ) after all time I've been here. Gangsters: Organized Crime takes you to 20's mob wars. Since It has Organized Crime within It, that means you are accually planyour moves, predict your enemy movement, recuit your grunts, buisnessman, lawyers, etc. The game offers two gameplay in one. At first you plan your all weeks plans and tell your gangsters what to do. In this mode there is a wide selection of freedom you have. You can give buisness orders to crime orders or personnel orders. Thats not all! You have to give your guys weapons, utilities, wheels to make them more efficient. There is a very -and I mean very very- wide selection of actions you can plan in your start of the week. After you planed and push the "start week" button, the game loads in to RTS with a fairly good visuals. Some players can exust very fast in this part of the game. Because the think Its borring and only thing I do is watch. Accually thats a very mistaken. You can overseer your men. If they fail you can push them to try again. After they done with your orders, you can order "some" actions you but Its very limited in RTS mode. You can still make them protect your turf or establishment or maybe If they have the right equiepment you can even order them to BOMB some building:) One last thing game requiers lots of time to play it well and It offers limited training. Guess you have to play the game to learn which I think Its more fun and satisfying style. This is an offer you really cant refuse! Thank you for reading It. Sorry for my English skills. +You are the Godfather +High variety +Tactical Turn base and Micro RTS game style -Yea... It has bugs -Sounds could be better -so so AI The game could be better but this game is the only of Its kind and yet still satisfies with Its gameplay and deserve a good place in gaming history. 8/10
