Vampire: The Masquerade® - Bloodlines™ 2

A not unexpected disappointment

Lets face it, it was in development hell for a long while and it it went through more foster cares than most problem children. I consider Bloodlines 1 a masterpiece (almost), despite all of its buggy flaws. Bloodlines 2 is not a masterpiece. Its a mediocre game plain and simple. Get it on sale if you must, otherwise avoid it. I feel sorry for all the talented people/developers who had to handle this mess, without getting the time and resources to actually give it the love and care it needed.

Might and Magic® 7: For Blood and Honor®

The best Might and Magic game in 3D

Ive played every single Might and Magic game from start to finish (except for 9 which was terrible) and this is one of the games I remember with warm feeling. The world is big and carefully crafted (not just big and random like in 6) and the story is actually decent (for a M&M game). The bizarre humour and logic of the M&M universe is still present in this title and the atmosphere and mood is a bit odd (as it should be) compared to other generic fantasy titles. The best Might and Magic game in 3D. Just the amount of hours of gameplay there is in this game is amazing. If you´re a fan of the M&M series and can stand the aged 3D graphics (which even were quite bad for its time) this is a must buy. If not - go for World of Xeen...

Post Mortem

Somehow flawed but with a beating heart.

This game present itself as an atmospheric murdermystery with old school gameplay with puzzles and gathering clues. Its exactly what it is and its actually pretty decent at its best. Flaws: The story turns from decent and interesting too stupid and annoying after midway through the game. The puzzles are way too easy and dont get any harder troughout the game (except a for a few) . Voice acting tend to vary from extremely bad to half-decent. Good: The atmosphere is pretty good, probably because of the sound design and often interesting settings. Overall: Somehow flawed game but with a beating heart.
