Hack & Slash & Dig & Fun

After 6 hours, here are my thoughts. -- The game is very atmospheric. It is designed to have that feeling that things are coming to get you, and the game does that without being overwhelming. The game is fairly simple to get into and the initial parts of the game don't seem too difficult, but then the game opens up and you are suddenly left with an entire world to explore to your liking. Having never played a game like this, at first I felt a bit lost. Thankfully the quest system gives you something to work on. Gameplay itself is fairly smooth regardless of controller or mouse/keyboard style. Audio is appealing. There is definitely an NES/SNES vibe to it. A an RPG the game is spot on with classes and combinations of abilities. It gives each playthrough a different feel (I've tried 2 classes so far myself). Multiple modes means there is a play style for a wider audience, which is a plus for any game. The crafting menu, however, is a tad on the awkward side and finding what you want to build sometimes is cumbersome. For the money, I feel like you are getting an appropriate amount of game, especially considering how deep the game goes (in a literal sense, when you look at the map you'll understand). I recommend this game for anyone wanting to scratch the RPG itch and enjoy sandbox style games. I have a VOD on Youtube for people to see to get a sense of the game & help you decide if you want to get it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2nDM-AdwNM
