I own the disc of this game and have played it multiple times. I never get tired of the story or gameplay. Story: You wake up in a mortuary because you were believed dead, but clearly are not. You have no idea who you are but start with your first companion who tries to help explain things a bit. As you progress, you slowly start to piece together the REAL story of you. There are always people you can talk to that will provide bits and pieces of information about you or the history of the Planes. While you can finish the game rather quickly, if you know what you are doing, I found that it is more interesting to talk to everyone. The game has multiple endings and multiple ways to get those endings, depending on your stats and/or choices through out the game. You can make friends or enemies with certain important NPC's, and this may or may not change the story in the end, although they do sometimes affect future possible choices (mostly dialog choices). Your companions often have something to say to each other at random times, and sometimes during your dialog with others. I always found the random dialogs between Morte and Annah, and Annah and Fall-From-Grace to be the best. Game play: You have three classes to choose from and require training from one of your companions, but you can change classes as often as you want (provided you still have that companion to help you make the transition). You also have enough companions that you can't have them all at the same time. You have the power to choose who you want to join, if you want any to join. If you wanted, you could do it without companions, although it would make it extremely difficult. You control the entire group (like any baulders gate game), either one or multiple at a time. The game can be paused so that you can change orders quickly. Overall, the story is one of the most fascinating of any game i've played and the game play is amazing.

Definitely one of the best games. It seems slow with the first campaign as you never leave the city, but I still enjoied the story. I found the other campaigns to be more interesting and fun.

I found the game to be pretty good overall. The biggest issue was getting started, but it doesn't take long to get used to it. The controls seemed a bit difficult at the start, but does become easier as you level up. The worst part is, at the beginning, not knowing if you are going into an area that has creatures that are too strong. I always loved to explore and get as much of the map as possible, but you have to be careful at the start or you could end up dead. Once I got past the initial issues and difficulties, it was rather smooth and fun. I gave it 4 stars only because of issuse at the start.
