First off, I'd just like to say that I have never seen a game that more perfectly encapsulates "friends just hanging out with each other" than this one. If you're looking for cute banter between cute characters, you've come to the exact right place. I only wish there was more of it. I love this game's characters so much, and every one feels fleshed out even with minimal dialogue. Despite every depicted character being bizarre, the game does an amazing job acclimating the player to weirdness inherent in this strange world, and giving the impression that the strangeness is perfectly normal greatly enhances the chill atmosphere the game exudes. It's fantasy creatures slice of life, playing d&d together, and every character element works perfectly. That being said, I do have some complaints about the adventure puzzles. The game takes place over a series of islands, and it's frequently difficult to tell what you're supposed to be doing next and on what island your objective is, leading to fruitless navigating. The game has quite a bit of linearity in its puzzles, leading to long stretches where it feels like you're not getting things done, before you find the thing you were missing and can move on. In addition, some solutions were esoteric; I found myself using hints quite a bit more often than I expected to, which was fine until some of them weren't very helpful. The second half of the game helps this problem somewhat by giving multiple ways to progress, so you can switch to a different goal if one puzzle is eluding you. All in all, quite passable. Still though, I would 100% recommend this game to anyone that's a fan of watching friends just hang out and talk with each other, or has ever just messed around with a tabletop game, barely caring about the rules. The interactions are incredibly true to life, and for such a short & cheap game, it's a treasure to cherish. I absolutely hope to see more of all of these characters and this bizarre chill world they live in.
