Its a great game. Bleak, and dark, but great. Just like real life in some aspects I guess....
Had my cousin burned at the stake and married my sister (I think) within the first ten minutes. Won't forget that sound in a hurry. 10/10

I have been gaming a long time. Over 40 years in fact. This game is already in my top 3 of all time. The story, the game world and sheer replayability mean I'll be playing this one for a long time yet. Larian have knocked this one out past the parking lot into the river beyond!
Just got back into playing this gem after a long break (since 2012 - that was my last save date, got married, had kids since lol) and just got the urgw to try again with redux+realism mod. The result is a hardcore bush war simulator where you actually have to think and reccy an area before attacking. Run in all guns blazing.....and you die. Hight recommend.
This expansion adds some really interesting mechanics and mission trees. Yes, it costs $20, but so what. Do you want more content for the game? Yes? Well, development costs money. Happy to support my favourite game devs. Bought it here on GOG and on Steam.
Once you click with this game it becomes frighteningly addictive, but with good reason. It is really, really good. Yes, the DLC practises are, well, questionable, but we wouldn't have this game still being worked on if there were no DLC,'s and the fact that so many people shell out the money for them must mean people like it. A lot!
