First: download the full hd patch, this makes the game way better. I am playing the game under ubuntu 18.04 with lutris and geprotonofied wine 4.10 . works great: https://www.moddb.com/downloads/kwip-high-res-patch-for-kknd2 It is an old game. You can set gatherin points, double on a unit to select all units of this kind does not work. But you get ctrl numbers and way points for units. Path finding is working but with a lot of units sometimes kind of stupid. Like a few units walking through the enemy base. Group of units don't adjust their speed to the slowest unit. So it is an old game. But it is fun. You can can create your own prototype. Read the Manual. Realy read it, you have to click on the research center and then on the building you want to upgrade. You would never have guesses it. If you like a better version of command and conquer 2 I recommend this game.
It has good graphics, an emotional story and not a lot of suspension of disbelief. TL DR: I did not like the game, your decissions are uninformed, stupid and you can not gather any information. You can not talk to people to understand anything what is going on. And you keep doing incredible stupid things in ingame cutscenes and you have to follow one story pathm which is very stupid. Did I mention you are playing a squad of veteran marines with the only task to gather information? ---------------------------------------------------------- The whole game could have ended with capturing a lonely guard wearing your sides uniform and ask him what the hell is going on. You play as a squad of three veteran marines. There is a scene second level, where you could easily do it. I wanted to do it. It was no possible. This is the moment where the game went south. If you like stupid idiots who do not gather intelligence informations, even when it is their main job and clueless destroying and killing people in a fun way, this game is for you. If you like to be able to actually speak to people and base your actions on the gathered informations stay away from this game, This game is kind of the anti thesis to Deus Ex, Gothic or Heavy Rain. You walk down one way, can only change the outcome of the story a tiny bit and your team act like a bunch of stupid morons. There were a lot of good ways to improve the outcome of the story dramaticly or even change it complety. Can you take any of this alternative ways? No! You and your team are mentally handicapped apes with guns.
A worthy successor of the Gothic spirited games. A great world, a new way to travel via the jetpack, very good companions and an excellent story. You have to solve different taskes and the world reacts different to you depending on your faction. You can even create a small camp of your own and defend it. This game is just a dream. The world is superb like in all Gothic games. If I could give 6 stars, it would be for this game. I also like the crafting and upgrade system. And the believe able world and factions. There a lot of moral dilemmas and your choices have serious impact on the world. I would wish for even more reactions on some quests from more NPCs but there are plenty and the devoping studio is small. For Elex 2 I would wish the your teachers would react if you kill an important enemy and tell you, that you made them proud. By anyway a great game :).
I loved Dungeon Keeper 2 and wanted to know what happens if you reach the overworld. Now I know. The Undead Extension A Game of Winter increases the difficulty of the game to reasonable challenging (without this dlc it is a bit too easy). It is fun, it is a good mix betwen RTS and Dungeon Manager. I like it and the campaign. The german advisor is frickin hilarious.
